They Work!

These actually work better than expected for such a cheap device. Sound quality and sensitivity is not great, a bit muffled, but good enough for their intended purposes. The transfer speed is slow, but sufficient for the audio files. They have more than enough memory space. Recording time is limited by the battery capacity, to several hours. Looks like many hours could be saved on the device. Plug in to a computer to recharge, save, and listen at the same time. Very small and unobtrusive. Easily records notes and conversations from a shirt pocket. Nice for all those sales calls that tell you that this is a recorded line. Now you have a recorded copy also! of course your mobile phone will do all this as well or better, but that is bulky and obvious, this device is not.

Ive bought several of these over the years. Usually have to replace because someone wants it more than I did. Leave in a lab, or family needs it. They are so good, that lots of times they are sold out, so buy them when you can!!

The best thing about this device is it works - and very well! As the recording secretary in several committees, I use this to record the meeting informing everyone in advance so I can play back when typing minutes to assure correctness. The fact that I've never had a request to correct the minutes says it all. I can't speak to how long this will work as I've only used it two months thus far.

I have only used it once and the sound quality was very good. You have to download it on your computer because it will not play back. The only thing I noticed is that you have to put it on a surface and not touch it or move it around because it picks up every little sound.

Get the recorder manual from pulsetv.com. .WAV might not play on your phone / computer. S/w, apps available to either just play .wav file, or convert it to a format that will. Store on sim, save memory for messages.

CORRECTED REVIEW FOR 4G VOICE RECORDER

I recently submitted a 1 star review for the 4g voice recorder sold on PulseTV.com. I must change that to a 5 STAR review. I was not using the correct program to open the recordings and therefore I was not happy. After corresponding with Peggy at customer service about my review, she told me what to do, I used the proper program and these recorders work great! The sound quality is great and I am VERY pleased with my purchase. I apologize to all that I may have influenced to not buy these. You should and you, too, will be pleased at their functionality and clarity just as I am now. Thank you Anisa and Peggy for offering us great products at great prices. And, no, they did not ask me to re-do my review. I felt that I had an obligation to correct my mistake and admit that I was wrong because I read reviews very carefully before I buy anything online and they do weigh heavily into my decisions.

Super Handy

Great little recorder

I bought this to record meetings at work and class notes. It was a little difficult at first to find out how to listen to the recordings, but once I figured that out I was greatly surprised at the quality and clarity of the recordings. To listen to your recordings, open RECORDINGS, then open VOICE. Right click on the recording you want to listen to and chose the program. It picks up voices clearly with no background noise, etc.

Most EXCELLENT Product

I was not sure how well this device would work, but I was more than pleasantly surprised! The first time I used it was in a meeting with 18 people. The room was fairly large and we sat around a U-shaped table. I was skeptical if it would pickup all voices. It recorded every voice in the meeting. It is a fantastic product sold at a most reasonable price! I am a very happy Pulse TV customer.

Great for college courses

Gave one to my son who wears it on a lanyard. He tapes his professors lectures for play back later while studying. Works very well! He has broken the lanyard top after 6 months, but as it worked so well we purchased another. Takes about 4 hours to fully charge up in a computer. Love this unit.

voice overmodulates if too close!

The microphone I think its the tiny hole on the back side? is a wee bit too sensitive, and if you hold it closer than about 24 inches to any voice source, the voice is overmodulated on play back. And, if you fidget with it, all the surface scratching is really annoying on play back! Dont rub it, dont let it slide around in your pocket!It does pick up sounds from all over the room, however. And I have not tested it for the advertised 70 hour recording! And the manual doesnt suggest how long it should take for a full charge from empty. Does it come fully charged? Who knows!

Great Voice Recorder

This is one of the best voice recorders Ive ever used. It looks like a flash drive so you can leave it right out in the open and record without it being noticed. You can even put in it your pocket and it records with very little distortion. The only thing about pocket recording is to stand relatively still. If you move your arms a lot when talking, you get interference from the material swishing against it. I ordered two of them and put one on a lanyard that I wear around my next when I go into meetings. When asked about it, I just say its a flash drive with project data I dont want to lose. Plausible reason. No one thinks twice about it. Awesome backup to capture details without having to take extensive notes.

Tiny Powerhouse at a Tiny Price

I was amazed at the sound quality of this device. I bought myself another one for backup and another for a friend. This device is sold at Hammacher Schlemmer for over 3 times as much. In my work, I sometimes need to collect a record of conversations with auditors and regulators, with their permission, of course. Convenient little recorder

This recorder works as advertised. Just flip the switch and it records. The only negative thing I can say is that the record switch is pretty stiff and not easy to turn on and off. The recording quality is satisfactory for its intended purpose.

I ordered one of these to see how it worked and within a week I realized I did not need to keep a notebook to remind me of things. This recorder stays in my shirt pocket and I use it all the time. I have now ordered two more.

Super Unit

Have had this a few years, used regularly to record audio for meeting minutes and used at doctor appointments so I have the correct instructions and comments. The little unit has never missed a beat! Would be nice if file dates could be changed, but what the heck, its only a few bucks!!

When it works, Great

I ordered two of these at the same time. One works great, the other, however, doesnt work at all. There appears to be something amiss with the toggle switch to turn it on. Will try and return for a new one.

Investigator

Love this item. It works great and I can pause the recording while Im listening to it. Very small and convenient. My only problem is that the date of the recording shows up as 12/5/2008 and I dont know how to change the date. The manual that came with it is of no help. Suggestions are welcome.

Worth more than its weight in gold

I, like another reviewer love to use this in a case where you think someone will say one thing & later change their story;basically lie to you. With this item, that can be easily hidden, youve got the conversation on record. I LOVE it!!!! Its a life saver when a person says I didnt say that. And so great to take to doctors with you when they tell you one thing & write something else in their notes!! Its a life safer!!

Voice/Audio USB Recorder

I purchased mine a few months ago and love it. I have taken several seminars and was able to go back and clarify info I missed the first time. Even used it at a doctors appointment when getting a lot of info that I knew I would not remember all of. Works like a dream.

Taking minutes for meetings

. . . I have bought several of these 2GB flash-drive recorders, which have remarkably good pick-up for a room full of people speaking at a meeting. On a Mac, open the file from within the QuickTime Player menu, not iTunes. The Voice/Audio USB recorder makes a nice gift for friends who need an audio back-up to their secretarial minutes.
