Not as good as I expected

Was disappointed with this. Hash brown potatoes did cook as instructed. Looked for a bigger recipe book as the advertisement showes many more recipes than the ones included in the recipe booklet. Does not seem to hold temperature well.

Easy to use

Its easy to use. Cooking takes much longer than it says. I liked the non-stick feature. Eggs get more of a baked effect than fried.

Even I can make Eggs Over Easy!

Love my eggs over easy but, I not very good at flipping without breaking the yokes. Now with the 5 Minute Chef I just turn the cooker over and Im done. Perfect for making omelets, fast and easy.

Too Small

I actually DO Love this. I use it almost every day. The only thing I dislike is the size, as I need to make two. Aside from that, I Love it!

Works Great But Rubber Feet Fell Out

The device works very good. Grilled cheese sandwich takes less than 2 minutes. Unit takes less than 2 minutes to heat up. Ive made Hot Pockets in 20 minutes. Scrambled eggs take abt 4-5 minutes.Takes up very little counter space. The only complaint is the black rubber feet fell out. So I replaced them with the feet from the top of the unit. So far I have had no incidents with food sticking. Everything just slides right out. I use a thin nylon spatula to remove food from the unit. The silicon spatula supplied is too thick to flip or remove food from the cooking well.

I Love this Cooker!!

This little cooker is so great! Easy to clean. Great for quick meals, after school snacks, healthy breakfast to go, smaller portions for elderly or singles. Doesn't take up much room. Don't have to mess up the whole kitchen. My kids use it when they get home from school and want a snack. We also use it for early breakfast when someone has to leave before the main breakfast. And it cleans up so quick and easy. We love it. :

Best appliance ever!!

Bought 3 of them for myself, my son and my grandson. We all love it. Easy fast breakfast and clean up!! Mini souffls every morning!! Fill a one cup measure with 2 eggs and any other ingredients and breakfast is done in 5 minutes or less!!!

I love the way it makes omelets. They are done in less than 5 minutes and are just right, not to hard or too soft. The only complaint I have is the cook book that comes with it doesnt have very many recipes, and I cant find another with more.

Stay attentive

I have used this product about 10 times and have found it to be a great way to fix a quick egg based meal. It is not an automatic device as it has no safety shut off switch or temperature setting so all you can do is pull the plug when the eggs are done, but that said it is an easy way to fix an omelet or sunny side up eggs even over easy as you can turn the cooker over 180 degrees. It takes about 3 minutes once the cooker is warmed up to cook the eggs, about the time it takes to toast some bread to go with the eggs. The instruction manual also offers some recipes to get you started.Easy to clean and you really dont need to use any oil or butter but you can if you wish.

Nice for work

I've been using this at work for a while now. It's nice for quick egg omelets, great for shrimp,hot dogs, and even day old pizza slices. Works ok for hamburger too. Cleaning is just ok. Wipes out easy enough on the big surfaces but the grooves are a bit tougher. Wish it could be rinsed. Overall I am satisfied with it.

Great buy

I really like the 5 minute chef. The only thing I do not like is there is no way to time the foods being prepared. There should be a timer or sensor to indicate when the food is done.

No heating element on top plate

Without a heating element on top it takes a long time to cook many items! If you have to flip items in the cooking area, it is very difficult even with the rubber spatula. Poor design !! Its junk on your counter top!!!

Single person only

If you make hash browns it takes about 8 minutes to come close to done. the omelets are good but you need to precook bacon or other meats. Cheese embedded in the omelet is OK but not as satisfying as in the middle. The product is either on or off. no settings. Getting cooked items out with a rubber spatula doesnt work well as products tend to slip off.

So far I only tried the eggs and omlet and both came out perfect. I have copper pots and pans so I know how easy they are to clean and this was no different. I would have given it 5 stars but need to try other recipes.
